How do I get recs from my friends?+
Tell us where you're headed and we write the ask for you — send it in one tap. Friends drop their favorite spots straight into your Received tab, insider notes included, and they get your list back automatically.
Do my friends need an account to answer my ask?+
Not to start. They write their rec first, then confirm their email so you know it's really from them. That confirmation doubles as their own free Recs account — which they can delete anytime.
Is it free?+
Yes — asking, building your list, sharing, and receiving recs are all free.
Who can see my list?+
Only people you share it with. Recs are private by default — no public profiles, no strangers browsing your favorites.
Can restaurants pay to be recommended?+
Never. No ads, no paid placements, and recommenders are never paid. If a rec is on Recs, it's there because someone close to you loves the place.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes — one tap in your Profile. Your recs, lists, and everything else are removed immediately.
